I partner with Lower School and Upper School administrators to support students’ academic, social, and emotional transitions between divisions.  I support new students and families through orientation activities, information sessions, and special programming.

As the 8th Grade Dean, I oversaw the academic, social, and emotional development my students. I worked collaboratively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators.

Department Chair, Middle School Math, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School

As the Math Department Chair, my responsibilities include overseeing the mathematics curriculum and standards, supporting and collaborating with the math faculty, conducting monthly meetings for the math department, collecting and analyzing data for student placement, creating assessments for admissions and placement, providing parent and student support, collaborating with the math departments in other divisions, and working with the other department chairs on the academic council.

As department head of a new school, I was able to create the math curriculum, align school standards with state and national standards, and develop units that correlated with our IB program.  I analyzed our school test data, observed teachers, facilitated student teachers, and led workshops teaching new instructional methods.

Team Lead Teacher, Notre Dame Academy

As team lead, I organized the day-to-day activities of the team, as well as coordinated school events, field trips, parent conferences, and grade-level meetings. I worked closely and cooperatively with the administration as a liaison to my team.

As math lead, I created standards-based units and assessments for the math department.  I assisted my colleagues in developing creative methods of mathematics instruction.

Liaison Leader for Shared Governance, 3 years, Pinckneyville Middle School

I served on the Leadership Council for our Shared Governance program.  As a Liaison Leader, I facilitated meetings that focused on school policies and decision-making that affected our school.
